2. The movie Lawrence of Arabia is based on Thomas Edward Lawrence (16 August 1888 – 19 May 1935), a British author, archaeologist, military officer and diplomat. The 1962 movie adaptation of his life, directed by David Lean, won nominated for 10 Oscars, winning 7.
