Charles Raymond Starkweather was an American spree killer who who at the age of 19 murdered eleven people in Nebraska and Wyoming during a two-month road trip with his 14-year-old girlfriend Caril Ann Fugate. The 11 murders occurred from November 30, 1957 until the couple was captured on January 29, 1958. Starkweather was later sentenced to death, and Fugate was handed a 17-year prison sentence.
